ABB IRB 4400L30

Long arm version of the IRB4400 with 2432 mm horizontal arm reach. An extremely fast, compact robot for medium to heavy handling. Exceptional all-round capabilities make it suitable for a variety of manufacturing applications.

A rigid, well-balanced design and patented TrueMove function provide smooth and fast movement throughout the entire working range. This ensures very high quality in applications such as cutting. Rapid maneuverability makes the IRB 4400 perfectly matched for applications where speed and flexibility are important.

The robust, rigid construction means long intervals between routine maintenance. Well-balanced steel arms with double bearing joints, a torque-strut on axis 2 and use of maintenance-free gearboxes and cabling also contribute to the very high levels of reliability.

The drive train is optimized to give high torque with the lowest power consumption for economic operation.

The IRC5 controller enables extensive communication for easy integration.

IRC5 is ABB’s fifth generation robot controller. Its motion control technology, TrueMove & QuickMove, is key to the robot’s performance in terms of accuracy, speed, cycle-time, programmability and synchronization with external devices.

Based on advanced dynamic modeling, the IRC5 optimizes the performance of the robot for the physically shortest possible cycle time (QuickMove) and precise path accuracy (TrueMove). Together with a speed-independent path, predictable and high- performance behavior is delivered automatically, with no tuning required by the programmer.

Communication
The IRC5 supports the state-of-the-art field busses for I/O and is a well-behaved node in any plant network. Sensor interfaces, remote disk access and socket messaging are examples of the many powerful networking features.
